Scouts Tour Radio Station
The Tigers of Hopatcong Cub Scout Pack 88 were recently treated to a wonderful tour of the WNTI radio station at Centenary College in Hackettstown. Spider Glenn Compton, WNTI music and program director, provided the Scouts, leaders and families with a tutorial on the studio and his radio show.
The Scouts visited the radio station as part of their Tiger qualification requirement to learn more about methods of communication. The boys were particularly excited to “go live” when they helped Spider Glenn sign off for the evening.
WNTI 91.9 FM is part of the Public Radio network and serves the northern New Jersey and northeast Pennsylvania region.
Hopatcong Cub Scout Pack 88 is always looking for elementary school aged boys to join their ranks. If interested in joining Pack 88, contact Cub Master Mike Nicotra, at thenicotras@gmail.com.
